Peer Review Process

To be published in the Journal “MIH”, all scientific papers received to editorial office (by electronic interface provided on the journal’s site  www.managementinhealth.com , or e-mail address revista@snspms.ro or direct to contact persons) from Romanian or foreign authors, are subjects to review procedure; this procedure is in responsibility of an experts team with experience in public health (academics, specialist in health, public health and management, scientific researchers etc).
The role of journal reviewing is to evaluate the content of the article by using four criteria:
-relevance;
-validity;
-novelty and originality; and
-scientific responsibility of the authors.
In the first step, the editorial team analyses to what extent the proposed papers complies with editing requirements for authors and whether the proposed subjects are fit in the list of scientific domains discussed in this journal; when these requirements are not met, the proposed paper is returned to the author in order to correct the deficiencies (with reasoning and recommendations on behalf of the editorial team).
In the second step, all articles receiving the validation of meeting the requirements for authors are shared by the Editor-in-Chief for evaluation to two reviewers, one inside the institution (editorial team and scientific committee members of the journal) and one outside the institution (experts in health and public health); for some occasions (e.g. subject too specific), other specialists/experts are solicited for reviewing the proposals.
In this step of reviewing, the authors’ identity is not disclosed or shared to evaluators.
The evaluation’s results are sent to the Editor-in-Chief; all articles receiving positive evaluation on behalf of reviewers will become proposals and will be included in a draft content of the current issue.

For articles that not meet standards and scientific rigors, the authors will receive the recommendations of reviewers so that they will correct and adapt the content of the article according with experts’ recommendations. In case that authors adapt the content of the article in time, then the adapted article will reenter through the process of reviewing as it is detailed before.
For scientific articles receiving approval for publication as result of the reviewing process, the editorial team will communicate with authors in order to obtain the final version and agreement for publication (all remarks of reviewers will be considered).
The final versions of reviewed articles will be transmitted to the Scientific Committee who will analyze them and decide on the articles that will be included in the current issue of the journal.
The editorial team will coordinate activities involved in publishing and dissemination of the journal.
